just received the photos from the opening night of the girls! girls! girls! show my friend Julia and i just had! taken by my talented friend trevor! ♥ now i can properly update.
The show was a blast. The entire month prior was so hectic that I barely had time to breathe, but it was sooo worth it. It was held at Sonic Unyon, in a huge room that the sweetheart owner was nice enough to let us use. Me and Julia worked our asses off for a couple of months with decorating, advertising, and producing new art at the same time, but omggg, to see it all come together at the end was amazzzzing. Hard work seriously does pay off.
The show’s theme was girls, and seeing as Julia and I almost exclusively draw ladies, it was pretty fitting ahaha. Julia’s stuff is really amazing too. She paints from photographs, and her attention to detail and realism is flawless.
So many of our friends and family came by too, and i even sold my first large painting. :`) We served cupcakes, had lots of pink, & blasted motley crue alllll night long. the after party Che Lounge threw afterwards was so fun too.
overall, one of the best nights in my life! i’m going through post show depression already. i`m addicted. ✖‿✖

so last night it was finalized that me and my best friend will be having a solo show in march!!!!!!
it’s going to take place on the night of the art crawl, which is a night every month where the entire street is opened up with galleries/music. the traffic that theses venues get is well over 1000 people a night!!!
we met up with the owner of the venue and checked out the space last night. it’s perfect. at first we thought that it was a little bit small (there were a lot of sofas and seating areas), but then we talked to the owner and he told us that we can move whatever we want around and have complete control over the space. THEN THE VISIONS CAME. BLACK CURTAINS. PINK BAROQUE WALLPAPER. VICTORIAN FRAMES. CUPCAKES. STICKERS. ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES. VICTORIA’S SECRET MEETS A STRIP CLUB. MARIE ANTOINETTE’S SEX DUNGEON. YES. YES. YES.
this is going to be perfect! now i’ve got a 3 month deadline to bust out a bunch of masterpieces. i have to work my ass off to come in with a bang. this is an AMAZING opportunity and i don’t wanna fuk it up!
